Tasks and Workflow

Actual tasks are based on Work Packages and Milestones but adjusted to findings of analysis, developments in social software field etc. Current version is based on meeting in eGA on 2007-01-04 (Arvo-Ivar-Nele-Steven-Peeter) and with the understanding that:

  • eParticipation is a form of social software that is in the process of rapid evolution
  • we need to analyze results of present TOM ideas, determine their desired / achieved effect and for a number of ideas interview involved parties for background information and their evaluation of its effectiveness
  • at the same time we need to study possible options for TID+ development, e.g trends in social software
  • software development should use agile approach: this influences spec, tender, development, trial and implementation phases (we spec mostly for effect, not particular functions of software; with tender we find both development partner and platform so we can spend less time on initial development and go to public beta faster resulting in more time to get user feedback and imlement required changes)

Analysis of TOM

Our analysis looks at TOM usage over the period 2001-2007. Having surveyed existing studies of TOM, we concentrate on the information that has so far not been collected: usage statistics and user feedback. Several studies have dealt with general usage stats (no. of users, ideas, answers) but these have not been systematic. In addition, hitherto there has been no study of user behaviour.
